2024 FEATURED ARTISTS

In 2020 we started a new spotlight program at the Dirty Show called “Featured Artists.” This collection was in addition to the "Special Guest Artist," allowing us to expand on that idea to create a new category. With the Dirty Show being such a large group show, the “Featured Artist” concept was created to highlight the work of a handful of both established creators, who have exhibited with us in the past, and a few “new to the Dirty Show,” artists. This new element allows a small group of creators to showcase a few more pieces than are traditionally accepted into the show. The hope is to expand their audience, and your experience.

Below are the 2024 “Featured Artists” displaying at this year’s Dirty Show:

Kobie Solomon

Detroit, Michigan
@kobiesolomon

A simultaneously self-taught street artist and classically trained Illustrator and Designer, College for Creative Studies Alum Kobie Solomon has been a pillar of the local arts community for over 20 years. In addition to widely recognized public murals throughout the country, Solomon is also a published Author, Graphic Designer, Draftsman, and is renowned for his custom-tailored tattoo designs. Notably, he is responsible for the Detroit Chimera - now a state landmark - on the side of the Russell Industrial Center in New Center Detroit. At nearly 9,000 square feet, it is one of the largest murals in the Midwest, becoming one of the many symbols of Detroit’s cultural renaissance as time has passed. Be sure to catch a glimpse of the mural as you arrive for The Dirty Show®.

Yudori

Seoul, Korea
@yudoridori

Yudori is a cartoonist. She was born in 1991 in a small farming village near Seoul, South Korea that is nearly impossible to find on the map.

She spent the early years of her childhood in the countryside, running around naked and beating boys. She was the slowest student in her class.

She studied Fine Arts at SVA in New York, where she learned to be a miserable alcoholic, only to drop out and become a cartoonist.

She is most excitable with ambivalent feelings and happenings, and unreliable narrators. Her interests are the history of sex work, colonization, yaoi, abnormal anatomy, and ambiguous dance practices. She likes researching things that are often poorly documented and debatable.

Erin Sanderson

Frankenmuth, Michigan
@eringsanderson

Erin Sanderson is an artist residing in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Her current work explores the kink, sensuality, and style of anonymous figures from decades-past. Inspired by found vintage photographs, her watercolor paintings reveal the history of uninhibited women having fun in hidden places. Watercolor is at once both graceful and unforgiving, sensually shaping the composition of women through a spontaneous interplay of color and light.

Elstabo

Brooklyn, New York
@elstabo

ELSTABO is a product of Brooklyn, New York. He has a B.F.A from the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a major in Illustration. His creative skills have been utilized throughout the Fashions Art Industry, Commercial, and Fine Arts World. Since 2002, his work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe with a strong focus on erotica.

His work has been published in various prints such as Best of Erotic Art (EAL/Eroarteurope), Aphrodisia: Art of the Female Form (Aristata Publishing), and "The World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today" (Erotic Signature).

Eric Wallis

Logan, Utah
@ericsfigureart_2

Eric's artistic journey began with the help of his father at the age of 6, when he created his first oil painting en plein air. His father continued to play a significant role in his artistic development, teaching his first life class with a nude model at the age of 18. Eric pursued a formal education at Utah State University, earning his BFA (painting) in 1992. Eric’s work gained recognition with over 50 solo exhibitions, participating in numerous US group shows from coast to coast. Notably, a San Francisco show led him to Erotic Signature, opening a new market for his nudes. His 2015 debut at Nude Nite Orlando resulted in a sellout. Eric has also achieved awards and recognition at events like ARTundressed in Miami and ICO Gallery in NYC. His work has also been showcased internationally,  with The Guild of Erotic Artists in London and events in Switzerland and Belgium.
